Y’ know, I’ve reblogged this before, and I normally don’t add personal captions to pictures like this, but I will this time anyway. I’m in a talky mood.

This was actually two years or so ago, and I honestly forget how the topic even came up in conversation, but I was over a friend’s house. It was late, and as I was getting ready to head home, she said, ‘They’re just from the internet. They’re not your real friends, or anything. They don’t really matter.’ I kept my cool and told her that they were friends all the same. She shrugged, not really agreeing with me, but I left then so she’d drop the topic. I managed to stay calm. That was, until I was a good distance down the street. From that point on, all the way home and even after I’d gotten home, I cried, because it made me so angry that she would say something like that.

Some of the closest friends I have are ones I’ve met online. As a matter of fact, the ones I’ve met online are even closer to me than the ones I know in person. They’ve always been there for me, despite the distance, and I love them to death. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I hadn’t met any one of them.

I know it’s probably not the intention, but this is also why the term ‘irl friend’ kind of bothers me. I know it’s probably taking it a little too literally, but online friends are just as ‘real life’ as the ones you know in person. 

Also, as a p.s., since I’ve ranted enough, the manga this cap is from is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever read. You should give it a read if you haven’t.

Avengers was surprising.

Two, they really could have left that quip about God out of the script. It kind of felt like Captain America spit in my face, especially considering who he was talking to.

I know it’s just a stupid throwaway one liner from an action movie about men in tights and robot suits, but…c’mon.
